Indomitable Lions, back-to-back absence in the AFCON

It wasn’t a surprise, but a shock for Cameroonians to prepare to watch another Africa cup of nations without the Indomitable lions of Cameroon in 2013.Yes indeed the lions failed again to qualify for the African football jamboree. The blue sharks of Cape Verde came to Yaounde and played their defensive game to obtain their first AFCON participation ticket. The Cape Verde boys had beaten Cameroon in the away leg of the last qualifying match for 2013 AFCON, by 2-0.

Indomitable lions,what hope for future?

Lions Blunder:

The first blunder in that game was that J P Akono failed to include Olinga Fabrice in the early minutes, played Idrissou for so long and did not maximize counter attacks. But he in all he did a good job since it was his first game as coach.

The Referee:

The Egyptian born referee was seemingly poor in handling the match,he failed to award Cameroon several penalty occasions which many cried foul play. How on earth did an Egyptian referee allowed to handle that game, Issa Hayatou knows fully well that Egypt is not our friend because of what they did to us in 2005.

The gods cried:

Before closure of the game, the gods cried seeing Cameroon losing for the second time consecutively to qualify for the AFCON.The heavy down poor was a perfect indication that all was not well.

What next:

We should go back as usual to the drawing board and prepare to avoid the third disgrace as concerns the World cup qualifiers.

final scores:Cape Verde 2-Cameroon 0…away

Cameroon 2-Cape Verde 1…return leg

Aggregate:Cape Verde 3-Cameroon 2: goal scorers: Emana and Olinga
